With the release of HSM 3 Senior Year, the HSM Birthday Party is popular once more! We recently had a HSM2 birthday party when it was released on DVD. We decided to make the invitations look like tickets that could be used later as a backstage pass. We sent out “ticket invitations” that requested the girls bring the tickets to get into the party. When the girls arrived, they were greeted by “security” (her Dad and brother – they were dressed like security and had on sunglasses). Security checked their names off, tore off one end of their ticket and placed it in a lanyard for the girls to wear around their neck. The girls then walked into the house on a red carpet and had their picture taken with the birthday girl, Troy, Gabriella and Sharpay. I ordered some life size cardboard figures off the internet. We decorated one wall with pictures, posters, etc. from the movie and magazines and placed the cardboard figures in front. We wanted it to look like they were at a movie premier with the actors.
After pictures, the girls had pizza and played games. They played HSM trivia and decorated cardboard boxes that they could put their “movie” treats in (popcorn, candy and juice). Afterwards, they went into the family room and we played the movie on the wall using a laptop and projector.
Later we sent the girls thank you cards with their picture. It was a HUGE success, the girls LOVED it!

I included a picture of the birthday girl with the actors at the Movie Premier with the actors and another with the birthday girl. If you get it set up just right it looks like they are with the actors.
