When Taylor was in kindergarten, the teacher told us that she had times where she was really attentive and others, not so much. It was not anything to worry about, just something to know. I came up with this game to help her work on the focus and following instructions.
Get about 4 small objects (pen, banana, rock, paper) and 4 larger objects (hat, chair, table). Start of doing 2 commands with three instructions each.
“Put the pen (1) under (2) the hat (3)”
“Put the banana(1) on top (2) of the chair(3)”
When they master that, you can add a third set or put a forth and fifth item on. I would start to get them to draw something at the end.
“Put the rock (1) on inside (2) the bag(3) and draw a Red(4) Triangle(5)”
You can hand out M&Ms for everyone they get right. It is a fun way to have the kids work on their listening skills
