Looking for a fun activity for your kids? Pull out some spaghetti noodles and marshmallows and put your kids creativity to work.
Our “Camp Cammie” theme this week is Creative Writing, so I told the kids I had an activity for them. Our neighbor, Nathan came by just before we started this and joined in on the fun. I gave them each some spaghetti noodles and marshmallows. Then I told them to create or build something. They had fun trying to think of something and then trying to build it. They learned that it was harder than they thought. It was not as stable as they wanted it, so I asked them what they could do to make it more sturdy. They decided that using 2 noodles and the larger marshmallows seemed to help.
They enjoyed this activity and it kept them busy for about 30 to 45 minutes.
When they were done, I told them it was time for their creative writing assignment and they had to use their creation somewhere in their story. They enjoyed sharing their creations with each other and their “creative writing” assignment seemed easy after that.
Then I caught Taylor being creative and silly, it made me laugh…
I recommend the thick spaghetti and the large marshmallows on this project.
Enjoy!
