MomsMaterial recommends this game for family fun or a gift. Zigity is one of our new favorite family card games. It is described as “the outrageous card game of crazy twists” and we agree. It is recommended for kids 8 to adult, but my 7 year old loves it. His favorite part of the game is playing a draw card on top of a draw card!

Cranium Zigity is the 4-in-1 card game packed with exciting activities and crazy twists and turns. There are three types of cards – a set card, a free card and an action card. The set card is used to build sets based on the character on the card in play. The characters consist of Creative Cat (complete the puzzle), Star Performer (match the instrument), Data Head (add up to 11) and Word Worm (spell a word). A Free card can be used to help you complete a set. It can represent a letter, number, puzzle piece or instrument. It has to be played in a set and you must explain how you are using it. The Action cards are Dodge, Draw and Bounce. A Dodge card allows you to skip your turn if you can’t play a set. It can also be used when the player before you puts down a Draw card. It allows you to be skipped and the next player must draw the cards. When a Draw card is played the next player has to draw the number of cards shown. But wait, that player can play an action card, including a draw card and then the next player has to draw the total number of cards indicated by the previous draw cards in play. A Bounce card will reverse the order of play. Sounds confusing? After the first game, you will have it down. So, how do you win? Be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
